Home Sweet Home (Finally)

Well here is our house. We had quite the time getting settled. We got to Idaho on a Wednesday and then the next day we found out that the house we were suppose to move into on Monday fell through. Holy Cow!! All our stuff was suppose to be delivered on Monday and all of our utilites were ready to be connected too. Well we called and cancelled our utilites and had our household stuff put into storage. We got to Washington on Sunday evening and met with a property management company on Monday morning and found a house actually just down the street from our original one. The problem was that we had to arrange for our household stuff to be delivered. Well the storage company said that it was Thursday or not for at least ten days. We barely made it and signed our lease on Wednesday afternoon. It was really nice to finally get into our own place and for our kids to sleep in their own beds. So far we have enjoyed Lacey. The commute to Ft. Lewis for Ryan isn't bad at all and it is really beautiful around here. It is also nice to be by family finally. Although we miss all of our friends in Iowa and the ones that have moved all over too.

Back to the Future

Something about tractors and kids. We stayed with Ryan's grandparents once we got to Washington and the kids had a great time riding around in the good ole' John Deere tractors. Ryan's grandfather gave him rides when he was little and he thought it was cool that he could give our kids rides now. Ayden and Meysa had a good time sitting on Ryan's lap and then driving the tractor themselves. They actually did a great job. Meysa and Lauryn loved playing with the dogs.

Working the Cows at Papa Chips

The grandkids love helping Papa Chip with the cows. Meysa couldn't get enough of them and wanted to "pet" them. Ayden on the other hand wanted to look from a distance. The best part about helping with the cows is getting to ride in the tractor to feed them. Too much fun!!!

Westward Ho!!!

The kids had a good time in the van. With food, movies, and good music. Lauryn didn't really have such a great time though. Something about being strapped in a seat for three days really ticked her off. We were glad to finally get to Idaho just so Lauryn could get out and run around.

South Dakota

Well the day finally came for us to say goodbye to Iowa. It was a sad day, one that we have looked forward too and also didn't. Iowa has been the best and we will really miss it. Our trip started out really well. We headed west and went through South Dakota. This time through we stopped at Mount Rushmore and Crazy horse. It was really neat, but cold. I hadn't thought that it would be cold and rainy so I didn't pack any warm clothes for the kids. I had to stop and buy them sweatshirts. All in all it was great. Of course we had to stop at the good ole' Wall Drug one last time. On to Montana we go.
