2008 Babies

I went home a few weekends ago to suprise my Dad for his 60th Birthday!! All the kids and grandkids (minus my older three) showed up at the same time at my parents house and my Dad had no idea what in the world we were all doing there. It was fun to see him speechless, which doesn't happen very often. We all worked to put together a book of memories for him and a DVD of his life so far. They both turned out great and will be family treasures I am sure. While I was there my sister and SIL thought it would be fun to snap some pics of our babies. Wyatt and Tivi were born two weeks apart and little Teancum was born two and half months later. Also my cousin Travis had a little guy a month after Wyatt and he is just a moose compared to these other babies. We couldn't get him to smile because well I think he thought we were all crazy!! Plus it is hard to smile with such big cheeks!! We are missing little Conner but he didn't make the trip down. They are trying to keep him healthy so he is ready for surgery in April. We missed him though. Can I tell you what a three ring circus it was to get three babies to smile or look at the camera. Plus we had an audience and that made it even more "fun" to try and get their attention. I think though we got some good shots.

Baby Brown Eyes?

Is there such a thing as baby brown eyes? Wyatt has the darkest eyes, sometimes you can't tell his iris from his pupil. I love this picture because it shows just how brown his eyes are. His eyes match the brown in his bib!! What a handsome kid-he can melt my heart with those baby brown eyes everytime!!

MMMM, Biter Biscuits

Wyatt enjoyed his first biter biscuit the other day. I had made trips to the store to get them for him weeks earlier but they were always out. So today was the day. He LOVED it, and that is an understatement. The whole time he was making noises like, mmmm, ahhhh, hmmmm. He seriously couldn't get enough of it. Then for some reason he lost the biscuit and then he really LOST it. I snapped these pics while he was frantically looking for the biscuit. He would really like to know who stole his food, and when he finds out he is going to let them have it. Sadly if he had just looked down at his own bib he would have found it. But when you have a triple chin, that is easier said than done. I don't think he could be any cuter!!

Crashed and Burned

I put Wyatt on the floor to play while I cleaned the kitchen and made lunch for the girls. He was playing well and jabbering up a storm. A few mintues later it dawned on me that it was quiet over where he was and I went to check on him. He had rolled over and somehow managed to pull the blanket with him and got the pacifier in his mouth too. He must have been really tired because he usually won't fall asleep unless he is in his crib. Poor little guy!!

Crazy

My kids are crazy- we were taking some fun pictures the other night and this is what my kids gave me. I am not sure where Ayden got his pose but it is kinds creepy. Lauryn and Meysa are more worried what the other one looks like. It is fun to see each personality though!! Is it me or does Meysa seem to have a really long tongue? Just asking!!

Just Chillin'

Wyatt likes his bath time much more now that he can sit up in his bath seat. He likes to kick his legs and splash with his arms. It is hard to believe that he is 6 months old already. Honestly, where does the time go? He is rolling all over the place and is working on the sitting up thing. He gets too excited though sometimes and it is hard to keep ones balance at times like those!! OK, admit it, you are all jealous of his rockin' bod!! He is such a chub-we enjoy nibbling on him on a daily basis!!

Self Portraits

This is what happens when Meysa gets a hold of the camera. I don't know how many random pictures I have deleted off of my camera that she has taken. Mostly they are of the wall, part of the TV or even pics of Lauryn at odd angles. But I thought these were priceless and couldn't delete them.

Ticket to Kindergarten

Meysa and I had a conversation a few days ago about her getting to go to Kindergarten. I am probably like most parents in that I use incentives to get my children to do things. One of those incentives is to tell them they don't get to go to Kindergarten unless they can tie their own shoes. With Ayden it worked like a charm, and I was hoping the same would happen with Meysa. So I told her she had to learn to tie her own shoes before she went to school this next year and that very day she learned how to tie her shoes. Coincidence? Most likely, but I like to think my parenting skills are top notch, so let me think that ok. She is pretty proud of herself and can actually do it pretty quickly now. She kindly gave me a demonstration this afternoon. What a big kid I have!!! I guess I'll have to keep my end of the bargain and let her got to Kindergarten darn it!!

Lauryn didn't want to be left out - so here she is in all her glory! Complete with bedhead and a booger nose. I don't know where she came up with this pose.

Just Helping a Brother out

Ayden has been after me to let him feed Wyatt the last few days. It isn't that I haven't wanted him to try but when Wyatt is hungry he doesn't have the time for me to give Ayden a tutorial on how to shovel the food properly. But this evening I got Wyatt past the "I am going to die if I don't get some food" phase and then I let Ayden finish it up. As you can see Ayden did a great job, but we still have a little to work on. I found carrots up Wyatt's nose for the next couple of days. Ayden loves being a big brother and enjoys getting Wyatt to laugh!!
