Wii are having fun!!

Ryan's dad sent his Nintendo Wii home for us to use until we move at the end of May. It was pretty cool to see how fast the kids were able to pick it up. Ayden and Meysa love to bowl. This is what they are doing in this picture. You actually swing your arm and step as you would if you were really bowling. Meysa's high score is 177!! Ayden's high is 157!! You can play up to four people and we have had a lot of fun playing together! Papa Don doesn't know what he started, the kids might not let him have it back.

Crunchy Oriental Chicken Salad

2 Tbs. butter
1 pkg. Oriental-flavor Ramen Noodles soup mix
2 tbs. sesame seed (I have never used this)
1/4 C. sugar
1/4 C. white vinegar
1 tbs. oil
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 C. cut up, cooked chicken
1/4 C. dry-roasted peanuts
4 med- green onions, sliced (1/4 c.)
1 bag of your favorite salad mix
1 can (11oz) mandarine oranges, drained

Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Stir in seasoning packet from soup mix. Break block of noodles into bite-size pieces over skillet; stir into butter mixture.
Cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in sesame seeds if using. Cook two minutes longer, stirring occasionally, until noodles are golden brown. Remove from heat.
Mix sugar, vinegar, oil, pepper in small jar with lid and mix well. In large bowl, combine salad, green onions, mandarin oranges, ramen noodle mixture, and chicken. Pour vinegar mixture over salad and toss well. Enjoy!!

One week left!!

Ok, so I am coming up one the fourth and final week of being a single mom. Ryan has been gone for three weeks in Idaho finishing his rotations. I am so grateful that I don't have to do this by myself for real. Meysa came up to be today and asked, no almost pleaded to have me WRESTLE with her. When that happens I know Dad has been gone long enough. We wrestled but it just isn't like Dad. Ayden needs to have some counterbalance testosterone(sp) in the house. The weather has been funky, we had snow this last week! After have a few weeks of spring, and then cold weather again my kids have gone crazy being stuck inside. This week should be nicer so they can run to their little hearts content OUTSIDE. When I build a house I am going to build a bumper room with a track that runs the perimeter. Hats off to those moms that have to be the Mom and Dad 24/7. I am going to enjoy the time Ryan has off the next few weeks because when residency starts I don't how often we will get to see the man. I love my hubby and all he does to make my life easier.

Happy Easter

Here is the Heitmann clan all dressed up for Easter Sunday. Meysa loves her "princess" dress and Ayden likes getting to wear his suit. For Lauryn it was just another day, except mom messed with her hair to get the spike on top. We are very grateful for Easter and the reminder it brings of our Savior. We hope you all have had a wonderful one, we have enjoyed ours.
