{Sounds a Little Fishy}

Meysa had her year end concert on Tuesday night. It was a cute medley of fun fishy songs. I have been hearing these little songs sung around my house. It was fun to see it all come together. She also had a little speaking part and was really excited about that too. She did say afterward that her tummy hurt a little during the concert, she said she thought it was just because she was so excited. I noticed that between each song she would take a deep breath and get ready for the next song.

Yes, even though she had some serious butterflies she still loved being in front of a crowd and her posing ability was not hindered in any way.

Good job Meysa, we loved getting to see you shine!!!

{Little Man}

Where do these kids of mine get the idea that they can or are even suppose to grow up? Especially this little man. He isn't even two yet and he thinks he is SOOO big. He doesn't sleep in a crib anymore, just on his mattress on the floor. He thinks he can dress himself, buckle himself into his car seat and get his own snack out of the fridge. What? Really? Who says? The other day he told me he wanted to sit on the potty, which he did for like 5 minutes and used 10 sheets of TP to wipe his LITTLE bum. I'm just not quite ready for him to grow up. I don't remember where the time has gone. Sometimes it is just a blur, it feels like just yesterday I was a milk cow and he was so tiny and smelled like a fresh from heaven baby!! While I do enjoy the stage he is at...talking, pretending, loves the outside...I wish I had that small tiny baby again to snuggle and nibble on. I don't think I am baby hungry. For me babies are always irresistible and I could nibble on 10 or more at any given time. It is a disease my family has, truly a disease. I think I am just realizing that truly I will miss these days. Even though some days I want to go and hide in a cave by myself, I realize every now and then that I will miss the days when my kids were little. You can officially consider this my woe is me session for the week. Thanks for listening!!

{Cousin IT}

You know that "Cousin It", the one that has wild hair and you can't seem to ever see her eyes. Yeah we had "Cousin It" living with us for the last little while. She was taking the place of our sweet, little Lauryn. We'll she wore out her welcome and we sent her packing. We found our Lauryn at the near by beauty parlor looking just as sweet as can be. I like our Lauryn much better than that old "Cousin It". I guess we learned an important lesson. The short bob is our friend. It helps us keep the wild hair at bay. That and a little hair serum too!!

{Nine}

Somebody turned NINE on Monday!! I can't believe I have a nine year old!! The time went way too fast. Anywho, Ayden got to spend his birthday doing some of the things he loves the most. One of which is baseball!! His team had a game on Monday night and Ayden's great grandparents were going to come and watch him play. He is always excited to see Nana and Papa and this time was no different. What he didn't know was that his Grandma Margaret was going to show up and surprise him for his birthday too!!! His team played well and won the game and the base race. After the game Papa wanted to treat everyone to ice cream.
Papa has a love affair with ice cream!! We headed to the closest ice cream joint to our house and we indulged.
Ayden was really excited to be with Papa!!
Lauryn was happy too, don't let the face fool you. This is number 4 or 5 in a series of shots. Each one with a different expression. This is the only one where she wasn't moving, and therefore the only one that isn't blurry!! Crazy girl!! Grandma Margaret and Nana enjoyed their ice cream as well!!! Meysa and Lauryn got their standard bubble gum ice cream and thoroughly enjoyed it!!Wyatt on the other hand commandeered my strawberry smoothie!! I didn't get much of it darn it!!
Then we made our way home for presents. Nana & Papa sure know what Ayden is into these days. He loves his new sheets!!!
Mom and Dad got him a baseball bag so he doesn't have to lug all this stuff around in his arms.

Grandma Margaret got him some books to read over the summer. I know the picture doesn't look like it but he was really excited to get these books. He also got a gift card from his Papa Don which he used to purchase Star Wars Legos of course. He was generous too and bought his sisters each something.

We really are lucky to have Ayden in our family!! He is a good kid with a lot of energy and imagination. He just earned his wolf in scouts and is really excited to be in the Bear den now. I guess this is the last year for single digits for Ayden, a scary thought I might add. It was fun to celebrate Ayden as always and I think he had a fun time celebrating too. We love you Ayden!!

{Let's move on}

Ok, so we have been looking at the post about Ryan's birthday for a few weeks now!! I don't know about you but I think we should move on to other things!!! Let me see, what have we been up to? Wyatt decided that he was too big for his crib and now he sleeps with his mattress on the floor. He has also figured out how to open every door in our house, so on went the door knob covers. Ayden is winding down his baseball season, he only has two games left. Meysa is working hard on getting a tooth loose enough to come out of her mouth. Lauryn has been making us all laugh with her wardrobe choices. She LOVES to layer. I just got called to be the Primary President in our ward so I have been up to my eyeballs trying to learn everything I am suppose to do. I have been a primary teacher for most of my married life but being in charge is sooo very different. We have a really large ward which makes for a really large Primary. To say the least it is my latest, greatest adventure!! Ryan is finally off of nights!! I really hated this last stint of nights. Thankfully he doesn't have to do that rotation ever again!! In fact in three weeks Ryan will officially start his 4th and final year of residency. We are very excited to be almost at the end of this road. Only to hop onto another freeway next June, but still each step is a step closer to being done. We are slowly plugging away at the home improvement projects. The latest of which is sooo nice. We finally got new carpet throughout the house. We needed new carpet when we moved in two years ago, and boy we couldn't be happier with the results. It actually feels like a home. We have a no shoe law now strictly enforced and punishable by, almost but not really, DEATH!! We chose to move the furniture for the carpet guys and in doing so we were able to gut the house and purge stuff we didn't need or had forgotten we even had. It feels so nice to have closets clean, nothing stuffed into corners just taking up space. It was the best Spring cleaning I have ever done. Our kids still have school for another 2 and half weeks so it isn't quite summer for us yet. Ayden is celebrating his birthday tomorrow. He gets to play baseball and then his Papa Ralph is taking him out for ice cream. I am sure I'll have pictures to share after tomorrow!!
That is what we have been up to lately, now we don't have to look at the same post any longer. No offense honey!!
